Dan Grunau - Partner

Prior to joining The Curran Group, Mr. Grunau had a successful career in Global Financial Services that spanned over fourteen years.
 
His leadership experience began in 1993 with Washington Mutual as the Vice-President of Financial Services for the Pacific Northwest.  In 1997 he joined Wells Fargo as the Senior Vice-President / Regional Sales Manager for Private Client Services – Pacific Northwest. He oversaw management of Trust, Private Banking, Brokerage and Portfolio Management divisions. His region’s revenues increased rapidly as he recruited top tier talent and successfully led his existing team to the highest profits in the region’s history.

In 2001 he joined Merrill Lynch & Co.’s Private Client Division as the District Sales Manager for the New York City Region. There his responsibilities included recruiting new talent, sales training and sales leadership for the region’s 700 financial advisors. While serving as the DSM he attended and passed Merrill Lynch’s rigorous Assessment Center in Princeton, New Jersey. After successfully passing he was asked to join the leadership team which developed the new Rollover Retirement Group for the United States Region. After the final development of the new group, Mr. Grunau led the implementation of the advisor training phase.  In 2003 he was assigned the role of Associate Director in both the Palm Beach and Boca Raton Complexes overseeing 200 brokers. Sales, recruiting, retaining and training were his primary responsibilities. In 2005 he was asked to take a coveted role within Merrill Lynch as a Director for the Global Private Client Group for the Naples Complex, Florida Keys and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Mr. Grunau graduated from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island with a BA in Economics. Throughout his career he attended multiple executive education courses taught by both Harvard University and the Wharton School.
